Our Vision

The 874K Vision

Our vision is of communities across Kentucky where:

  1. barriers to services are eliminated, whether they be physical, regulatory, financial or attitudinal;
  2. the individual and his or her circle of support are informed so that they can exercise their freedom to make choices;
  3. individuals are able to gain and maintain employment and have the opportunity to become tax payers;
  4. all citizens are secure and protected in their communities;
  5. all persons, including educational, medical and judicial systems personnel, are educated about disabilities; and
  6. there is increased awareness of disabilities and reduction of the stigma often associated with them.
